Junagarh Fort: Forts of Rajasthan

Junagarh Fort – An antiquated creation Junagarh Fort, an impregnable fortress, which was constructed in 1593 A.D. by King Rai Singh. The fort is surrounded by 986-metre stonewall. A collection of 37 bastions is enough to provoke the mind of the vacationers. The strong protection of the deep moat has saved the fort from being attacked by the opponent countries.

To enter inside Junagarh Fort, one has to go through (Karan Pol [gate], facing east direction. The next gate is Suraj Pol( Sun gate). These partitions in Junagarh Fort are so minutely designed that you need to pay good attention to understand the methodology and techniques used by the artist to construct it.

Zenana Mahal
